Hello Jos,

You are probably right. Three photographs showing Gynemer speaking with the German flier – including the one you posted here - were published in the Icare revue de l’aviation française issue devoted Guynemer. According to the caption, the German is one of two crew members captured on 26 January 1917 with their Albatros thanks to the bluff of Guynemer.
