Rudolph Stark was a Bavarian ace, who flew Pfalz D.III and D.IIIa aircraft in Jasta 34b, later a Fokker D.VII as the CO of Jasts 35b. His aircraft were trimmed in lilac, a unique color, but supposed to be because of his affection for a lady named Lila. The key word is supposd to be as I don't know of any firm evidence.
He survived the war. His book "Wings of War" is one of the better personal records to read on the German side, so if you can find a copy I recommend it.
