Cute Al. *But then I wasn't the one who spent half an hour over that field and couldn't identify the field or aircraft.

My point, was that it WAS changed! Why? Who changed it?
Not his Original CITAR. The info that was "changed" was in the VC Warrant. The description of his actions was where it was changed to Albatros DIII. His Original CITAR STILL says Types DI and DII.

Chances are, the info was "corrected" by whomever recommended him for the VC. Since he was not the Squadron CO, I'm pretty sure Bishop didn't recommend himself for it.

As to identifying where he was, He took off in the dark, before 4:00AM local time. He landed before 6:00AM local time.

From a sunrise/sunset calender generator, it predicts that Twilight was at 4:58am, Sunrise was at 5:41AM. This is for the area of Cambrai, France.

How correct this is? I don't know. Does anyone have an almanac for the area that might give us a better reading?
