Assuming you mean Rudolf Hess (no "O" is in his last name) then yes, he served briefly with Jasta 35b before the end of the war.
He first joined the German army in 1914, received the Iron Cross 2nd class in 1915, was wounded twice in battle then was accepted for pilot training and was assigned to Jasta 35b (Bavarian) on 16 October, 1918 and served there until the end. No victories are recorded for him.
