CJ, I know of several societies specializing in medals, and they post messages like this all the time.
If you send me as much information as you have (name, rank, unit) where sold, when sold, I can pass it along. You might also post in in this thread. It wouldn't surprise me if we have more than a few collectors in our ranks.
