Hello, in my grandfather's WWI photobook it appears many of the men with him in groundschool were killed. Photos and clippings are posted but can find little more on these men. They are: (1) photo of Lt. Charles A Swan (handwritten) killed Nov 23 1918 Ourghes?, (2) Photo clip Hugh Shearman (handwritten missing in action since Aogost? found in Germany Nov 16 1919,(3) Newsclip on Walter Goddard killed in Aeroplane accident, (4) photo of RE8 burning handwritten below "RE 8 Burning after crash (Gose). Gose could have been nick name for a pilot named Gorse in other photos. (5) Photo of Lt Howard R. Smith -written "killed May 27 Turnberry (6) Photo of crashed plane DH4? written under "Sisson's Crash)
any insight welcome on these men.
