Did anyone else catch that article in the last National Geographic-- "Queen of the African Skies" I believe the article was called. It chronicled the journey of a Vickers Vimy (the Silver Queen) from England to Capetown, South Africa, and compared it to a similar journey taken by the original Silver Queen and Silver Queen 2 some years ago. I know this is a slightly post-WWI 'craft, but the article is certainly worth checking out for anyone with an intrest in adventure and historical aviation. I've always wanted to try a stunt like that, but I'm certain it's harder than it looks. Still, It'd be cool.
