Too bad there is no date given for this crash! Sure has great markings, though. I'm sure Dan-San or Greg will soon have it identified. R.
(I'll hazard a guess at Jasta 37 - but I'm no markings expert!)!. |

It is an Albatros D.V or D.Va. The rounded fuselage section, and rudder (as well as the serial number) are the giveaways here. As to unit markings... I don't see any indications of Jasta 37... no black and white diagonal striped tailplane. The markings look similar to those seen in several KEST photos.

From its serial number, D.5752/17, I can at least confirm that it is an Albratos D.Va, from the batch D.5600-5849/17. Unit? Don't have a clue. As I stated, a Dan-San or Greg question. R. |
