Try the Treloar Centre for a bit more WW 1 content.

No one is allowed in there anymore. I tried last year and that don't even allow you in with an appointment either. Great shame. i would even pay to get in there.

G'day Ross,

That is indeed sad news.

Oh well, I wonder if there are any vacancies down there, LOL.

You could volunteer. Or just turn up and tell them you are the new guy who was hired the other day.

The Treloar Centre has an open day once or twice a year, I think from memory one of the open days is in October.

Rant mode on.

As for the AWM I know they have space restraints but the lack of information on Australias aviation contribution to WW1 makes the AWM far from complete.

They also need to recognise Australians that served under friendly flags as CEW Bean had planned.

Rant mode off.

Regards,

Andrew.

Thanks to the Aerodrome, I've learned that the Australian War Memorial is a great online source for photographs. *Does anyone know of similar collections that are accessible online?
Digital archives at The Canadian Aviation Museum (http://www.aviation.technomuses.ca/E...lish_home.html) has quite a lot of WW1 imagery, it's now watermarked, although it wasn't always
