Hi All,

It concerns the Photo in 'German Fighter Units June 1917-18' by Alex Imrie on p37. The Photo shows elements of Jagdgeschwader II at Chery-les-Pouilly aerodrome in August 1918.
Jasta 13 are in the far background as can be verified in a blown up section of this photo in 'World War One in the Air' by Ken Delve. The next unit is Jasta 12 with their white noses the last of which appears to be Ltn Alfred Greven's machine. Then there are five more Fokkers the nearest to the camera is that of Ltn Veltjens Staffelfuhrer of Jasta 15. What is of interest to me are the remaining four Fokkers especially the ones with the fuselage crosses.
In Imrie book the are refereed to them as planes from Jasta 15, but I believe that the planes with fuselage crosses are that of Jasta 19. Jasta 15 Fokkers had their crosses painted over as we can see by Ltn Veltjens plane and i can find no other photo's of Jasta 15 Fokkers retaining their fuselage crosses after blue fuselage paint had been applied. What little evidence the is points to Jasta 19 who seem to have kept their crosses, see Lt Riedel's plane in 'Fokker D.VII Anthology 1'.
Others of you have seen Imrie collection and i was wondering if this shot was from a series or whether it was a one off.

yours stu
