Hi,

I am having difficulty in identifying a WW1 german prop. The hub is marked;

160 PS

MERCE

D 280 (Durchmesser 2.80 m)
ST 175 (Steigung 1.75 m)
HEINE
N 12842

This refers to the 160hp mercedes engine and a prop of 2.8m diameter and 1.75m pitch made by Heine of Berlin. The hub is also marked;

Stand 1360
GERRUFT or GFRRUFT
P & W

I don't know what any of this means!

I'd be grateful if you can identify which type of aircraft this prop came from or point me to a database of German prop info. A list of Heine drawing numbers would be wonderful.

Regards,

Bob Gardner
