Does anyone have a photo(s) of Lothar Von Richthofen's DR1 454/17 not crashed? Would like to get a better photo of the markings

* * Me too!. Especially the upper surface of the top wing.
The problem is, LvR crashed on 13 March 1918, before the line-up photographs were taken on the 26th of March at LeChelle Airfield.

Most depictions of 454 show the fuselage from *aft the cockpit colored yellow. From this photo I feel only the the top and the tail plane was yellow. The sides where still streaked. Is my interpretation of this photo correct? I had to reduce the size to post it! *
The top wing will take a while,for me to frame my thoughts and some photos.

My reference is from the cockpit, looking forward. Using the previous photo and making a negative, plus some coloring of the negative image. The left wing toward the tip is mostly covered with flap of torn fabric with the back side showing. The leading edge is showing at near the tip. Is this a smudge from the crash or streaked finish? The outward section of the aileron looks paint yellow,but look at another photo from a different angle. The aileron looks streaked.

Now a photo of MvR's crash. Notice the similarities.
Mostly the left wing.

Could that be torque related?

If you are talking about the fact both aircraft are in the right wing position after the crash, I am not sure if torque was a factor. I am try to determine the color and paint scheme of the top wing of LvR's aircraft. And wether the aft fuselage sides where painted yellow rather them streaked.

That is another view of DR.I 454/17. That is NOT MvR's Dr.I.
I have the combat report of the Brit who shot LvR down. He described the machine in great detail, red nose, and struts, yellow rear fuselage and empennage. He stated the fabric on the top wing tore and "flagged" in the slipstream. He did not mention the top wing was yellow! The yellow top wing was surmised by Alex Imrie. It appears to be camouflaged in the streaked finished.

Dan-san;
I also came to the conclusion that the top wing is streaked and not painted Yellow. I had to reduce the first photo in order send it a an attachment. Looking at the photo (unreduced) and enlarging it, it appears the fuselage is streaked camouflaged on the side. At least the right side anyway! With the rear decking painted solid yellow.

The rear fuselage aft of the cockpit and empennage are painted yellow. That is a given and is confirmed by the photos.
