Hello JBS,

thanks for posting this image. Although not of the best quality it clearyl shows the straight ribs of the Canadian Fokker built Fokker D.VII.

Here are two more. These show what I am looking for as aditional refference, so if anybody can provide any aditional picture that either shows the whole thing under construction at Fokker or any damaged aircraft that gives insight into the stabilizer design, would be highly apreciated.



This one shows the well known view of Stapenhorst´s triplane. Many use this image and claim that Fokker used to construct the stabilizer using curved ribs.



This one shows the V.37 with straight ribs.

In the meantime it is no longer a matter of if they used straight or curved ribs or not, but rather more am I now interested in figuring out when what change happened. I have noted another difference in the V.37 stabilizer construction that I might show at a later time.

Thanks for any help in this case.
