Hello!

I´m still working on a list with the most important aircraft engines of WW1. While doing so, I found several geared engines (like some inline engines for the Spad fighters and the less common Siemens-Schuckert rotary engines).

Can someone provide me with some details (detailed photos, or computer renderings) of these devices? Below I attached a photo of the SSW D.I with a geared rotary engine but unfortunately you can´t see very much of this device on the picture. The data would be of great help for me in a chapter “Technical Details” …

Thank you in advance for your help!

Volker.
Go to my sight at http://www.geocities.com/pfalz2/SSWD1.html and then go to the Siemens-Halske Sh1 page. There you will find drawing of the sh-1. If you need larger pics select the link on that page and down load engine.zip. Large file so will take awhile if using dial-up.
