For those fans you may not know that a Camel is under restoration. It has many original internal parts. Wings are being reconstructed in their woodshop, a project which has begun as of last time I toured the restoration facility. If I recall teh plane was reconsructed in the 60's ? and may have flown briefly. Current rebuild will not be to flying condition. I hope to get some photos of the progress in the near future. Very pretty work. Any idea who the original builder was? I had heard of a builder up there in Michigan who recently passed away and the project was taken over by his son. Just trying to find out if it was the same project.

It might be. I think the owner was an elderly gentlemen from Ann Arbor Michigan. I know the plane was donated to the museum and they own it now. I am sure these planes make nice tax deductions as "donations" to non profits.

I will probably get more info on the project in the next few months.
