Udet's tankbuster

Dear Friends,

I am new here and I hope you will not kill me for asking the question that I am about to ask. I tried to look for the answer all over the net, but haven't found the answer.
The question is: What plane was Udet flying when he destroyed an Allied tank? Are there any color plates showing the plane available?
Your help will be much appreciated.

Best regards,
Kaz

The aircraft was a Fokker D-VII. Udet flew at least three different D-VIIs, so the first problem is to determine the date of the tank attack. I have never given this point much thought, but from the chronology suggested in Mein Fliegerleben, the date appears to be 12 August 1918. Perhaps someone with more reliable data will address this point. If the 12 August 1918 date is correct, then Udet was probably flying his red Fokker D-VII, sn 4253/18. A color profile of this machine appears in Osprey's Fokker D-VII Aces of World War 1 - Part 1 as profile 15.
