I'm having a great time - keep going!

The only one I knew so far was the Kettering.

Victor Scout

I don't know any of its detailed history. You will have to wait for Bob Casari to publish his history of all US militray aircraft up to 1919.

Built by Victor Aircraft Corp in Long Island NY, in 1917. 100 hp Gnome engines. AS numbers 539, 540. Also called Heinrich Pursuit, after the name of the designer. Not felt to be up to the task of pursuit aircraft, so used only as advanced trainer. Several more built in 1918, with 80 hp Le Rhone Engine. AS numbers 40007 "Victor Advanced Trainer", 40008/40009 "Heinrich Advanced Trainer", 40010/40011 "Heinrich Pursuit". I have no idea why these had different terminology or if they were in fact identical. Doc
