I would like to add a color scheme to my web site.
However, here is the catch, I am not an artist. I am looking for someone willing to do color renditions on each Fok. Dr.1 *(O.K. not every one) this can be a computer 3D template that can changed for the different planes or similar. *I am thinking of just a side view would be adequate. It would be up to you.

If any one knows of someone please let me know. You can use my email here or go on the web site.

Thank You
Lloyd Leichentritt

I have been given alot of support from Achim Engels, He is turning into a good freind, I would like to talk to Dan San Abbott more but I think I he's waiting to how the site is being developed. I know that Achim has some art work but i'm looking for some colored schemes that are on Jasta Boelcke site or on Cross & Cockarde. I dont think Achim or Mr. Abbott would have the time to work on this project.

Thanks
Lloyd...

LLoyd,

as a matter of fact we are indeed working on such graphics you are looking for which could be used to generate "simple" 3D side views in color. I am working with my friend Bil Hardenberger on these graphics which will be used to illustrate our comming book "The Complete Fokker Dr.I", but it may still take some time since we also are working on the detailed 3D models you have mentioned above.

I have no problem in providing such side color model renderings for use with your side, since I like your work a lot, but this is still for a while until we might have produced any that are usefull.

I will talk to Bil and ask him if we could give it a try by doing a model of a triplane in factory fresh finish first to see how things turn out and to let you put it on your side.

But, as I said, just be a little bit patient.

Achim

Hi Lloyd,

I don´t see a reason to be amazed, doesn´t your day have 24 hours, too? *;D

I have spoken to Bil and we will work on a factory paint sheme for you (actually for our project, but there is no reason why you should not use it, too), but please allow some time.

Yes, There is indeed something you could do. I was thinking about trying to put together a list of aircraft and pilots that have been downed by a Fokker Dr.I. Well, I think this time 24 hours is just not enough to start such a project as well, but it would be interesting to see this list done by somebody. Perhaps you have some of your 24 hours left *

All the best
Achim
