Why is it that in some pictures, only the propellor is wrapped?

Why is it that in some pictures, only the cowling is wrapped?

Who knows?

Of course, there may be a simpler explanation.........The camera film itself, showing black tires as a light color, for whatever reason.

Of course, that explains the total lack of black tires! The infamous reverse orthochromatic film

So you can't see the dirt/mud on the gray tyre then? I assume you think it is covered?

Don't put wordsinto posts I make.

If you are here at this forum to stir up people I think you need to find another forum. Most of your posts here have been provoking people. Take this as a warning. Push it and there will be a ban coming your way.

Unless you're a mod here, it's not your place to threaten me.........

......And I don't respond well to threats anyway.

Second, when I'm talked about on this board like I'm stupid & don't know what I'm talking about, I will respond in kind.

.......Perhaps your threat would best be served pointed at others?

Finally, let me clue you in on some of my info:

From the age of 5, I was building & flying paper aircraft that were close to being models, I flew dirks & darts in kindergarten. I was well informed on the aircraft & aces of WW1 as well.

.......I'm soon to be 42.

I am not an idiot, nor am I a loon. I know what I'm talking about when it comes to these aircraft, whether you believe it or not.

......Or whether you like it or not!!

When I come to this board & see foolishness, I will comment about it. If you don't like what I have to say, put me on ignore. When people ruin my thread with foolishness, they need to be repremaneded, not deleting my thread instead!.

It so happens that Ross is a Moderator, as am I. We are listed as such on the main page of every Forum category over which we have responsibility.

You - like everyone else here - are entitled to your opinions and interpretations, and the purpose of this Forum is to share and discuss these ideas. Speaking from personal experience, however, you'd better have hard evidence to support your position if you intend to challenge agreed-upon information. From what I've seen, you haven't presented a scrap of legitimate support for any of your claims, and furthermore your statements are easily refuted by photographs and documents well-known to the members of this Forum. In short, some of the statements you've made are simply preposterous and your insistence on them will not win you any respect.

I strongly encourage everyone to do so.

I deleted your thread because it was little more than yet another foodfight between you and other members. I will continue to delete threads that have no relevance to the topic at hand and serve only as boxing rings. You seem to make a point of purposefully sidetracking every thread that you participate in, and the way you choose to present your unsubstantiated and fantastic "information" as fact is disruptive and provocative. The "foolishness" is yours.
