Guys,
I just got my copy from Achim and in one word, it's excellent. *Lots of detail shots, interesting locales for the work (photos of the fuselage being taken down from a loft in a barn should inspire those of us who have no room at home to build a replica) and even sample colors at the end make this CD worth having! *;D

Hello Friends,

There are so many good notes on this booklet that I thought it might be a good idea to post some teasers for you here, too.

This is the first in our series called "... - In Detail" and covers lots of photographs taken during the construction of our first Dr.I.

Some of these photographs may well be able to encourage some of you that have not yet dared to start their own repro. Others might just enjoy them ore use them as reference for any model project.

Here are some teasers for you:

The book goes on CD-Rom and tells the story of this repro that I started when I was 15 years of age. I would love to see if this one would finally boost somebody else to get started to work on his own repro.

Hello!

I read the book "Fokker Dr. I in detail" and I was very impressed!

The published photos are execellent because you will find loads of information concerning the structure of a WW1 aircraft. Another very good thing is that Mr. Engels combined "coloured" and "black and white" pictures to find out about the accuracy of the original camouflage scheme. Finally the working conditions shown on the photos were somehow tricky but the result is great!

I fully recommend this book! It is worth the money!

The Fokker Team Schorndorf have diligently recorded every stage in the process of their Fokker Dr.1 Replicas.

I recommend this CD ( which arrived at my home in 3 days flat), wholeheartedly to modellmakers, historians and those considering construction of a similar replica.

I am looking forward to the next work which is promised by the team- The complete Fokker Dr.1- which should contain animations of the control systems and the engine.

Should be a good investment.
