Austro-Hungarian empire produced most of their planes on their own, but the connections between German and Austrian factories were close. Some Austrian companies were owned by Germans, and some of the German companies were owned by Austrians. Also Fokker, who was Dutch, owned some of the Austrian companies (MAG).
Germany exported to Austria several early war types, like Albatros B.II, DFW B.II, Aviatik B, Rumpler B, Fokker B, Fokker E.I and E.III and some later types like Gotha G.IV and Albatros J.I.
Several German types were license built in Austria and Hungary (Albatros D.III, Fokkers etc.).
Many Austrian planes were designed in Germany, for example main Austrian airplane Hansa-Brandenburg C.I was designed by Ernst Heinkel. Company Hansa-Brandenburg was German, but owned by Austrian citizen (ethnic Italian), Camilio Castiglione. Hansa-Brandenburgs C.I were produced in Austrian Phoenix factory and in Hungarian UFAG (Budapest). Complicated, isn't it?
Cheers!
