Question RE: Nieuport 10 in Italian Front

Were the majority of the Nieuport 10's used by the Italians single-seat conversions or were they also used in the two-seat reconnaissance role?

Thanks in advance!

Dear Castiglione,
the Italian Ni 10s arrived in Italy as two-seater for the fighter role, then they were changed in one-seater to save weight. The poor rate of climbing, even in such configuration, soon forced the Italian to withdraw the aircraft from the front and use them as trainers.
The plane kept in Museo della Guerra, in Rovereto, Italy, was recently restored, as you can see there:

Happy landings

Thank you, Paolo!

Were they used operationally at all or did they immediately get shifted to the trainer role?

They were briefly used as fighters on the front and the same Francesco Baracca, the best WWI Italian fighter ace, flew some missions on a Nieuport 10.
