I am after some pics of the converted Tiger Moths used in the filming of Lawrence of Arabia. 2 of them represented Rumplers.

Would anyone have any photos of these?

TIA

Ross

Amazing thing is that I saw one of these "Rumplers" at Aerodrome 92 for sale; it was sitting on a trailer with its wings resting alongside the fuse. I think I have a little videotape of this, but other than that, not much here.
Cheers, Lyle

Im not sure if these are the same Tiger Moths but down here in Geelong at Geelong Airport they have 2 Tigermoths of which they use for scenic flight. Very strange when I went up.
Becuase we are all used to travelling inside but while your up in a Tigermoth its a wonderful feeling with the wind in your face.
But it is hard to keep your eyes open.

Ross,
the only pics known to me are on the backside of the old Profile for the Tiger Moth, printed somewhere in the late 1960's. Contact me off-line for scans, if required.

I have a copy of a Tiger Moth photo used during the film, with wrongly depicted Turkish markings, from an old issue of Air Classics. Contact me off-line for scan, if required.

I have colour shots from "life" magazine (I think) of a "Rumpler" in flight. There aer photos of the "Fokker D,VII" in the "Tiger Moth" story.

e-mail me if you want copy.
