Question Dr-1 lap belts

I have conflicting sources, now I'm just confused.
Do the lap belts go over the sides of the seat? Or, is there a slot in the side of the seat that the belts go through?
I await your responses with great anticipation....as do others to timid to ask, right Jimmy?
As always thanks in advance,
Richard

They actually go inside the seat and the mount ends attach to the side bolts that go through the vertical tubes at the front of the seat support frame.
