Ron Sands Plans

Fellow Dr1 Enthusiasts

This is my first posting on the forum so greetings to all.

Can anyone tell me how I can get hold of Ron Sands DR1 plans as I am interested in building a triplane after deliberating on the subject matter for over three decades.

I have been fascinated with the aircraft since I saw them make the Blue Max and Darling Lili movies a push bike ride from my home in Ireland in the sixties.

Was asked to leave the movie set at Weston Airfield near Dublin more times than I can remember. The images of those DVII's and DR1's flown by pilots such as Derek Pigott and Richard Bach Linger however, and my enthusiasm for the DR1 has never diminished.

I have been a sport pilot for thirty plus years on gliders and light aircraft and currently fly my STEMME motor glider out of Serpentine field near Perth in Western Australia.

Regards

Damien,

For the plans, please visit Ron Sands Jr.'s site:

http://www.ronsandsreplicas.com/Fokker_DR1_Plans.htm

Once you have your plans, may I refer you to our DR-1 (Sands): Builders Group thread?

Fokker DR1 Plans

Jim

Thank you for your speedy response to my recent posting.

I have contacted Ron Sands, Jr. and ordered the plans set.

I also got a response from Wicks confirming they have some of the material parts.

I will use the 'Builders Group Thread' next time as you advise.

Regards
