Question parts of late 1916 war planes

I have trouble finding simple stuff like the parts of a airplane in world war 1 books. They dont detail the parts in the first place. So what are the main parts of fighters from late 1916? I dont have a specific plane so I mean the specific parts of all the french planes. Just the ones your most likely to see in the planes. If you know a website that can help me that would be good to.
I need to know for the novel I'm writing.
Thanks for any help you can give!
Also if this sounds confusing tell me. I will make it more clear.

Parts

The British produced some good lists of spare parts that list every part that was used to build a particular plane. Some of theses had good sketches to illustrate the various parts. Some of these sketches have been reproduced in the various DataFiles produced by Albatros Productions.

During the war the Journal "Flight" published detailed descriptions of captured aircraft and where they could, republished articles and sketches from German publications of captured Allied aircraft.

After the war there were books produced that descried "modern" aircraft in detail. They often used WWI types as illustrations with sketches of components. These seem to be mainly of US origin. I copied material but at that stage did not keep good records as to which book, publisher, etc, so I can not help here.

Try your national library.
