Fokker DVIII with Ur III
Hello Everyone,

Does anyone know of a scale drawing showing a D VIII with the enlarged cowling for the Oberursel UrIII 11 cylinder engine?
I am interested in converting a standard kit into this variant. I have been collecting all your thoughts on the 4-colour wings, 4 lozenge covering etc.
I have been looking at previous threads on alternative engines for this plane and the Dr.1. Of interest is this site claiming to show a Goebel Goe III.

Check the old WWI Aero issues. I seem to remember a rare photo of the V.29 being posted there by Pete Grosz.

The V.29 was a parasol fighter design fitted with both the BMW IIIa and Mercedes D.IIIaü and not fitted with the Oberursel Ur.III. That would have been the V.27 or V.28 I'm thinking.

Hello gents,
thanks for your suggestions. I have a drawing by Ian Stair of the DVIII,
and I think I can do an UrIII based on the photos that have appeared in previous posts. If it looks OK I will post to the site.
