16 Sqn Royal Flying Corps

A friend of mine is doing some research into the Battle of Vimy Ridge and he is trying to find out if 16 Sqn Royal Flying Corps are afiliated or have connections with any current Royal Air Force Unit or Squadron. Can anyone help?

The squadron survives today, having been revived in October 1991 when No 226 OCU at Lossiemouth was allocated the identity as No 16 (Reserve) Squadron. The squadron's life history is on the Air of Authority - A History of RAF Organisation website at http://www.rafweb.org/Sqn016-20.htm
