German seaplane # 270

Hi,

I am searching added information about fate of German seaplane # 270 from SFS Libau in 1915 on the Baltic Sea.

02.08.1915 (ns) The German seaplane # 270 have air battle with Russian seaplane FBA # 4 (crew : Ltn. S.A. Lishin - pilot , Uffz. Smolin - observer) in region Tserel.

04.09.1915 (ns) The German seaplane # 270 was damaged by Russian flak at Schildau in Rigaer Bay. ( 11 hits )

11.09.1915 (ns) Russian sailing vessel “ Iliya “ ( 180 brt ) was sunk by German seaplane # 270 in Rigaer Bay.

I have 2 dates of loss of the German seaplane # 270 .

12.09.1915 (ns) The German seaplane # 270 was shot down by Russian destroyer. Pilot – POW.

23.09.1915 (ns) The German seaplane # 270 have emergency landing in region Lyserort and 24.09. this seaplane was sunk by Russian destroyers. Crew - OK.

I am searching information about correct date of his loss and names of his pilot and observer.

Cheers vikinn.

Not much of an answer but #270 of the German Navy was a Brandenburg W Seaplane powered by a Bz.III.

With regard to the date of loss, and the two possibilities that you list, and just as a wild guess, but the difference in days between the two would lead me to think that one of them is an old style date, and the other is new style. I would review the sources for the two dates.

Also, in this air battle was the German seaplane # 292.

Probably someone has an information about names of his crews and fate
of the German seaplane # 292 ?

Cheers vikinn.
