John- From the photo I posted, it looks more like the Dr.I window was made from four pieces of wood, but it is hard to tell. To me the photo seems to show one long piece in front spanwise, two pieces butted off the long piece chordwise and a shorter piece between the two chordwise pieces. Hard to be sure, though. I think your ZAK stamp and date are exactly correct for the Dr.I as well. No evidence of a Fl No or WN on your D.VII photo, which is what I would expect for the Dr.I as well, since those were marked in different locations on the wings' fabric. The same stamps would be on the bottom (plus middle for a Dr.I) wing's spars where the wing(s) mated to the fuselage and could only be seen when the wing(s) was removed.
Wonder what the purpose was of the smaller window in your photo? With a 7 November 1918 inspection date, this particular D.VII was never in combat during the war.
