Its French.
Der Grüne Flieger:
It is the Goudou-LeSeurre 1C1. Its wing struts were redesigned improving the wing structural strength and redesignaed G.L.S.2C1. It was powered with the Hispano-Suiza 8Ab 180 hp engine. The U.S.Air Service was very interested in the G.L.S.2 C1. It was planed to be purchased by the U.S.A.S. powered with the Wright-Martin Model E 180 hp engine. Had the war continued into 1919 several of the U.S.A.S. pursuit squadrons would have been equipped the the G.L.S.2C1 monoplane fighter.
Dimensions : Span, 9.0m, length, 6.6m, height,2.3m.
Max airspeed @ 1000m 245 km/hr (153mph)
Climb to 5000m, 17min. 30sec. Ceiling 7500m.
Empty weight, 570 kg, loaded weight, 850 kg.
Along with the G.L.S.2C1 would been the redesigned Nieuport 28c1 replacing the SPAD XIIIc1 machines.
Blue skies,
Dan-San

Dan-San is of course dead right, but we have had this one already in Challenge # 220 here.

Didn't you make this comment last time this aircraft was up or is this just deja vu?

Well it appears I've royally messed this up.
My source showed the plane as a Goudou-LeSeurre Type A, not a 1C1 or C1. It now appears that the designation "Type A" and the "1C1" are just a matter of semantics. So yes, this plane was already done on Challenge 220.
Dan-San while you were perfectly correct, I was not. My apologies. This challenge is scrubbed and we will start fresh. What I have done to stop this from happening again is to download the past challenge list to a word document, then I search it to see if my next challenge has already been use. Should help a bit.
Phil

Challenge.
Der Grüne Flieger:
I challenge the replies on #220. the proper designations were not given. I should at least get credit here, I had the correct SFA designation also on 220 and I was not credited there.

Breguet, Rod, Yavor & Kees,
Help please. How do you want to handle this? I'm not sure of the protocol in situations like this.
