Oshkosh News

While exploring the display tents near the main center entrance to the Oshkosh airshow, I came across a gent who was sitting among a pile of well-crafted AVRO 504 parts. Of course I sat down for a chat. His name is John Gaertner. John is no stranger to WWI aviation as can be seen from his curriculum vitae as posted on his web site.
Blue Swallow Aircraft
With John was another gent from Argentina by the name of Carlos. Carlos is an employee of Pur Sang Aero Historic, a new branch of a company that makes replica cars, particularly the Bugatti models.PurSang Argentina - www.pursangweb.com
John has teamed up with Pur Sang to make replica Clerget 9B engines and Palmer Cord wheel rims. German wheel rims are to be next! Given the capabilities of Pur Sang, this appears to be quite credible.
