I think your browser needs to support frames, but anything from MS Explorer 5 on up should work.

That's an interesting thought -- is there anyone located in the US who can't see the link?
I wonder if, instead of using the links I've posted, you go to the home page at Google Book Search and then use the Search function to navigate to the book's page. Maybe this will put you on a different server?

Hi!
I see only a list of references to the book, as well as list of libraries, which hold a copies. I do not have a problem to download many other books from University of California Libraries, as follows.
Steam power plant engineering (1910) Gebhardt, George Frederick, 1874-
Internet Archive: Details: Steam power plant engineering or
Handbook of carburetion (1916) Browne, Arthur Benjamin, b. 1866
Internet Archive: Details: Handbook of carburetion Regards,

Bletchley- They all downloaded in less than 2 minutes. I will put them on a CD, plus several others, and mail them to you next week.

If all you can see is a few snippets and no download links, the site is blocking the full text because of copyright concerns. They do that here in the US too -- there were some RFC manuals that I wanted to grab, but all I got were the snippets and links to booksellers. Strange that I can do the full download in the US but Kees can't get them from Europe . . . I thought the US copyright period was longer than Europes.

I think in the US copyright is expired on pre-1920 publications? In Europe we have to wait for 70 years until after the author has died (not 70 years from date of publication), and 100 years in France if the author died on active service in WWI or WWII. Copyright on official material is even more complicated here in the UK - only 50 years after date of publication if it was officially "published" but 125 years or longer if it is "unpublished crown copyright" (although in the latter case copyright is now 'waived' on such material if it is open to public scrutiny, i.e. is at least 30 years old and not covered by any security restrictions, and is held as a public record by the National Archives).
Thank you Taz, I am still beavering away on the 2-CD collection - will be done soon
