Good stuff, thanks for posting the site. I especially liked the bare wing shots of the Aviatik Berg D.I . No matter how many photos I see, I always learn something when I see ones that are new to me. Phil

The Idflieg site is great... I'm glad to see we have access to good quality photos of the Aviatik in Vienna and the Hansa Brandenburg in Budapest (better than the ones i took by cell phone at any rate when i visited both locations last month).
With reference to the existing thread "Aviatik colors", Cliff and JohnFitz should now be able to get a better idea of the colors and lighting at the Military History Museum in Vienna, where the Aviatik is exhibited. CC |

thanks for your comments on my site. i`m a member of this forum for about 2 years, but am only a lurker. i`ve updated the site with some new walkarounds: deHavilland DH4 Etrich II Taube Albatros BI B.A.T. FK 23 Bantam Idflieg - A Place for Surviving Machines (see the "early aircraft walkarounds" section for the news.) will be adding more soon. thanks to everyone who has contributed andi edit: will add soon a download possibility based on the BitTorrent technology. all original pictures (right off the camera) will be available for download |
