How does the Synchronization Mechanism work on the Sopwith Camel Machine Gun?

I am searching for a detailed explanation and images of how the Synchroniser Mechanism works on a Sopwith Camel in relation to its machine guns, can anyone help?

Was it a Constantinesco?

Do you know which type it was? Was it a Constantinesco gear? If so, I have a few documents that explain its function quite well. Specifically, I have:

Handbook of "C.C" Interrupter Gear, Types A, A1 & B
Handbook on the Constantinesco Gear

I have one more, but cannot find it right now. I'll have to look a little better. If any of these would be helpful, let me know.

k69smith,

Maybe the link below will give you some background info on the Constantinesco Fire Control Gear, and why it was so superior to the Camel's original Sopwith-Kauper mechanical synchronizing system:

Firing between the Props

Also, here's an additional link to a Handbook on the C.C gear:

Internet Archive: Details: Hand book of "C.C." gear : the Constantinesco fire control timing gear

Already linked that webpage above Graeme, but I guess it's worth a second mention.
