Shuttleworth Collection SE5a Restoration Update

Here's a photo of the Shuttleworth Collection SE5a at the weekend.

And here's a photo of her roughly 12 months ago

I think you'll all agree, this is a very nice restoration indeed. Congratulations to all involved, she's going to look lovely in the skies over Old Warden next year.

Something I have wondered about, With the 5/17 compass centrally located on instrument panel and excluding the Lewis gun magazine holder.

On the right side of the compass you have the oil pressure, tachometer, air speed and fuel tank hand operated air pump.

On the left you have the brass fuel selector dial, radiator thermostat, air pressure gauges and a round type of instrument with what looks like three fuel line attachments. I assume these are connections from the main and reserve tanks and the lead out to the engine. The question is what is this? Most references are not clear.

Is it an dash fuel filtering and or gauge system? With the petrol selector just above it seems to be for filtering with an easy access for replacement?

Here are some shots of the Shuttleworth Collection's SE5a from last weekend. The engineers and volunteers have done a wonderful job of restoring her, she looks simply wonderful.
