Breguet's Aircraft ID Challenge #375

Breguet's Aircraft ID Challenge #375

I thought it high time to present a floatplane again. There is one point for the one who comes first with the correct full designation of this machine AND gives the country where the machine is in service.

Cheers

Kees

Look at precedent breguet's challenge:Aeroplanes 1914 - 1918 - Breguet's Aircraft Challenge --

"The Rules"
The thread title must be "Breguet's aircraft ID challenge #......"
The score board, link and rules must be copied to the beginning and end of each thread so that we know where we are.
The completed aircraft must have been either; designed, built or have left the ground during the '14-'18 period and be identifiable by the poster.
The photo must show the whole aircraft - from whatever angle, or at least 2 views of a 3 view drawing (photo by preference).
Challenges which depict a machine already earlier presented are disqualified (check always the list of Rod Filan when in doubt !)
Once someone has got 5 correct answers under their belt they become an ACE. Once they become an ACE they must wait 12hrs after the posting of the new challenge before they can post an answer.
The first person to ID the challenge correctly gets to post the next challenge. If this can not be done for any reason Breguet himself will post the next challenge.
The final arbitor in relation to questions about the rules will be Breguet.

Looks to me like Halberstadt Cl.IV on floats (with two-bay wings)! What about Halb. Cls.I?
Regards,
Yavor

Joachim, this is right on the mark. This Halberstadt C.V 6905/18 (Av) - built under licence by Aviatik - was captured by the Estonians from the German Landwehr.
The Landwehr in Estonia wanted to make contact with the White Russian North-West Army near Narva. On 8 and 9 June 1919, three German aircraft were sent to Narva from Latvia, with messengers as passengers. The operation was led by Oblt zur See Patze, but it failed completely. All aircraft were confisquated by the Estonians when they landed near Narva, the crew and the messangers were taken prisoner and jailed for some time. The three machines were two D.F.W. C.V's and an Halberstadt C.V which had crashed.
All three were taken in the inventory of the Estonian Aviation Company. The Halberstadt C.V - later fitted with floats - got the Estonian serial number 53.

This was probably the only Halberstadt C.V fitted with floats

Flamingo has the right to the full 1,0 point but .... Yavor really got quite close so it is fair to allott 0.4 points to him.

Cheers

Kees

You are very generous, Kees!
I was supposed to make difference between Halb. Cl.IV successor and the "full size" reconnaissance Halb. C.V !

Yavor
