Friedrichshafen G.I - FF.30 or FF.36?

Hi all! I recently became aware of a curious anomaly - most sources seem to agree that the G.I was the FF.30; however in Siegfried Borzutski's seemingly comprehensive Flugzeugbau Friedrichshafen Gmbh, he identifies the G.I with the FF.36 and does not seem to give any details of a FF.30 at all.

Is Borzutski simply wrong? Or is there something more to this? And if he is wrong, then what was the FF.36?

Herr Landmann- Beats me, but I would surely like to find a copy of Siegfried Borzutski's book. Where did you find it?

My copy came from a local specialist military bookshop; but Amazon.de lists two copies for sale

Although I cannot find which archive material (evidence) was used by Siegfried Borzutzki I have the impression that his book is very authorotative. I do not think that Borzutski has made a mistake with an essential item as the factory designation

Bruno Lange in his Typenbuch der deutschen Luftfahrttechnik also gives the G.I the factory designation FF 36. There is no entry for the FF 30 (might be a not realized project). More FF numbers are 'missing' for example FF 32.

Without the availability of original (factory) documents there is no 100% way to state that the G.I was factory FF 36 or FF 30.

Cheers

Kees
