Aircraft Help

I found this sheet of paper rolled up in a tube with pencil drawings of a bi-plane aircraft on it. It is the top view, side and front. Markings: Wings of the biplane; #5 with the 1 stars on each end, side: 3-B-5 US Navy, also has the prop drawings & colors were Yellow & red, tail has some no's.
Question: Anyone know what this might be of ? I think it looks to be a drawing for maybe a model? It's very detailed & it's on a poster size sheet of paper and very old. Where can I go for identification & year?
I would like to tag it but not sure where to start looking for ident.

3-B-5 is aircraft No. 5 from VB-3 Squadron (Bombing Three), USS Saratoga (CV-3), late 1920s or 1930s.

P.S. Type and USN serial should be written on the fin of the aeroplane, e.g. SBC xxxx.

Looks to read: 8880 BM-1 on tail fin.

THANKS! Now I can tag this. It bothered me for years that it was in a tube cause it is somebodys history, so I hung it in my office the other day. Now I can find the artist's name & see if it was his, his fathers or just interested in this aeroplane?
