Hi!

I am thrilled by the choice of aircraft you've decide to build...
Being a bit of a huge fan of Willy Coppens you'll understand why

I am not much of a technician so I am afraid I will not be able to help you there but I do have some post-card sized color-pictures of an Hanriot HD1.
I took the pictures myself in the Royal Military museum in Brussels a couple of years ago ( the pre-digital period I am afraid )
The machine involved is an original HD1 flown by the Belgian "Aviation militaire Belge" and not a replica so it should be a historic source of information.
I can scan the pictures and mail them to you if you let me know where to send them.

I'll see what else I can dig up for you

The Swiss military aviation museum...

...in Dubendorf (near Zurich) Switzerland have an HD-1 on exhibit. It was used by the Swiss Air Force but has a correct vintage (to the best of my knowledge).

I don't have any contacts there, but you might give them a shout to see if they can help.

Marvin K Hand built a set of wings for his Hanriot restoration which is now in the RAF museum, where is the Italian Air Force's Museum HD1? does anybody know where Ed Maloney's Planes of Fame HD1 is?

Indeed, the excellent Marvin K. Hand Hanriot HD.1 restoration is now on display in the RAF museum. Also, here are currently available Hanriot HD.1 drawings that were used in its restoration:

About Replicraft

Also, I luckily acquired this magnificent 1/5 scale Hanriot HD.1 model from Jim Kiger of REPLICRAFT, and it is built entirely of all TRUE and original construction design! The model's wood even comes from the original full-size Hanriot (mentioned above) that was removed during its restoration and used in the construction of this masterpiece! The colored dope is even the same dope that was also used in the full-size restoration originally back in the 1960's. Therefore, this model has a true WWI Hanriot HD.1 soul!
