Another statistic - of the top 10 scorrers, 3 are French, 3 are Canadian (but 1 of these is US based), 2 are German, 1 is Bulgarian, and 1 is Dutch (assuming their base is their nationality). Posted ages are mostly mid-40's to mid-50's, but we have a youngster of 27 and a couple who are older - one considerably.

Statistics what it is, but the French are doing stellar, probably even better when the French language part of La Canadie is included Well, few USA scorers in the top 10.

Statistically interest in WW1 aviation (and pre-1914) seems to belong to older people
