I thought that I did!

Perhaps you would like to enlighten me as to what our dear friend YavorD might be referring to???????

If this fotograf has been previously used on the BCFC, I would be happy to post a different (hopefully unused) foto here,
other wise I will award the point to Flamingo and hand over the reins.

I will be awaiting your answer, your Benevolency.

HAPPY TRAILS TO YOUUUUUUUUUUUU, FOKKERJ

P.S. When you have your first Winter storm of the season (lots of rain and sleet followed by below freezing temperatures),
be careful of the stairs outside when walking the dogs....That last step is a real bugger!

Right click your mouse over the photo you posted. A menu comes up. Left click on "save picture as" in that menu. You will see the title of the picture you are about to save is as Yavor says RE8BCFC001-2.jpg.

Now as you have been walking the Royal Corgis and had an accident I suppose I shall forgive you.

Now hand over to Flamingo and get back in your plane - at least you do that well!

A similar, not the same picture was used in round 4 (see Breguet's Crash Files).
FOKKERJ, be aware other people can see your Photobucket album
There is an excellent early Halberstadt picture!

Yavor

Congratulations to Joachim for properly identifying our mystery crash.
The caption on the back says:
"An R.E.8 two-seater that crashed. Note arrow at right(?: [sic] me). The grave of the observer.
The tombstone is half of the propeller. Also at the foot of the propeller is the telegraphic key
that the observer used to send out artillery fire locations. A terrible crash."

I hope that you enjoyed "the 'ploding gas bag".
For your entertainment puposes only, I submit the following:

Breguet's Crash Files

THE RULES

1. All aircraft are of the 14-18 period (Must have left the ground during this period).

2. All "ACES" with a score of 5.0 or higher must obey the 3.0 hour handicap. All others with a score of ZERO to 4.99 may start immediately, if not sooner!

3. To be eligible for correct ID an answer must include at least one characteristic of the aircraft that helped in its identification.

4. And whom ever wins this challenge will have to provide a new one! If this can not be done for any reason, please PM Breguet and he will take over as host!

5. If an ace gives the correct answer too early, the challenge is over, he gets no point but has to post the next challenge. In lieu of the fact that the "novices" have in effect been "cheated" of their "exclusive" time that next post should be a relatively easy one. Anyone repeating the correct answer at the right time gets neither a point nor the right to post the next challenge.

6. The final arbitrator of all things to do with the "rules" is Breguet.

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

If the cursor is on the pic you see the link's name at the lower left of the task bar and if you want to save it you get the file's name in the dialog window.
Uhhh yah....I knew that!
Unfortunately I forgot to clean up the image title. I've busted a few people in the past for the same screw up!
Didn't even recognize my own title!

In all actuality the Royal Dawgs are a 1 year old Beagle-Rat (a Beagle on steroids with a Rat Terrier hyper attitude)
and a 3 year old Border Shepard/Healer mix with possibly some Queensland thrown in. Both good looking and very smart!
The owwie (boo-boo) sucks and blows!
Something that Bart thought impossible.

Yavol, Herr Kommandant!

Consider it a done deal!

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

P.S. How do you like my new ride?

It has a sweet little V-eight under the bonnet. Tuned open headers, flies like a dream.
I'm getting ready to install radar and my C.D. player.

Hello Yavor,

Ya, I knew that!
Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
Lest I forget.

Isn't that a beauty?
I was hoping to use that in the other challenge someday, but I'm afraid that I was just a little bit CARELESS!

Thank you, FOKKERJ!
An excellent picture of Aviatik D.III, probably from the second fighter competition at Adlershof in May/June 1918.

Hello,
may i ask which engine did they build into the Aviatik shown above ? It indeed looks like a V8 ..

But i thought this is an Aviatik D.III:
Automobil und Aviatik AG "Aviatik"
2nd from above - ? Another engine and cowling ? Or again a "Berg" plane ?

Thanks and greetings,
Catfish
