Hello Flamingo,
This is a fun one!
Albatros C.XII. Scalloped trailing edge, balanced rudder, center section cut-out, and horizontal stabilizer.
HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ
Where's AROTH?
I keep waiting to see him correctly answer this challenge.
Did I forget to mention the roundy aft fuselage?

Bonsoir à tous
Triangular shape of the upper wing cut out, rudder and fin let me think that this plane could be a Dutch Spyker-trompenburg two seater training biplane
A 3 d drawing and photos of this not well known plane can be seen in Jane's
fighting aircraft of ww1-
corrdialement

Hello Bruno,
I hope that you are right!
The only real clue that I found early on was this "Lookatthepicnotthefilename".
The location of the horizontal stabilizer is above center-line, which rules out most to all of the German machines that I have researched. The lack of camouflage and markings hasn't helped. May be a prototype! I thought that it may be a Pale Blue overall, because there doesn't appear to be a pigmented varnish on what should be a wood veneered fuselage. The nationality of the uniforms is a mystery to me. This style of scalloped trailing edge is predominantly used on German machines and also Austro-Hungarian and Italian aeroplanes.
Austro-Hungarian and Italian designs usually have a basic rectangular or triangular aft fuselage shape to usually more complex.
What ever it is I hope that we can see a before foto of this model machine.
HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ
I am really surprised that AROTH hasn't seized this opportunity to show up the double digit aces!
