Previous Breguet's Crash Files

THE RULES

1. All aircraft are of the 14-18 period (Must have left the ground during this period).

2. All "ACES" with a score of 5.0 or higher must obey the 3.0 hour handicap. All others with a score of ZERO to 4.99 may start immediately, if not sooner!

3. To be eligible for correct ID an answer must include at least one characteristic of the aircraft that helped in its identification.

4. And whom ever wins this challenge will have to provide a new one! If this can not be done for any reason, please PM Breguet and he will take over as host!

5. If an ace gives the correct answer too early, the challenge is over, he gets no point but has to post the next challenge. In lieu of the fact that the "novices" have in effect been "cheated" of their "exclusive" time that next post should be a relatively easy one. Anyone repeating the correct answer at the right time gets neither a point nor the right to post the next challenge.

6. The final arbitrator of all things to do with the "rules" is Breguet.

Looking at the nose and paint scheme , ,it's a Rumpler fighter .

Could be 7D4 type or 7D7 type but the rudder is the 7D4 type .

I think it's one of the two RUMPLER D I prototypes ( Rumpler 7D4 )

The paint scheme looks like the 7D1 shown in Gray and Thetford.

The rear darker fuselage paint ( red ?) was not on the 7D1.

Greetings,
Catfish
Catfish - you get a commended for finding the hidden joke

and a very highly commended for the Welsh interpretation!

I still remember going by train from Holyhead to Bangor when I saw that name at the station more than ten feet long! English translation something like: The church of St. Mary next to the bridge on the road to ........

Unfortunately () your guess is wrong, as those of all other contenders.

Well, not even close...

That rudder, I don't know, sort of reminds me of the Zeppelin CI/CII.

Hello Flamingo,

Thanks for the great challenging fotograf.

Richard B and RBailey had me convinced.
I don't have a reference for any Rumpler D.I Prototypes.
Except possibly hidden in my unarchived fotos!

I like the prototype reference.

I'll go with an LFG Roland D.VI, scalloped trailing edge, balanced rudder, and roundy aft fuselage.

HAPPY TRAILS, FOKKERJ

To me, the tail looks like a Pfalz DIII, but the wing doesn't.
