Breguet's Aircraft ID Challenge # 506

Sorry that this is such a small picture, but it is the best I could find. It may take some hunting, but it is well within the time-frame of the challenge.

The rules :

•The thread title must be "Breguet's aircraft ID challenge #......"
•The score board, link and rules must be copied to the beginning and end of each thread so that we know where we are.
•The completed aircraft must have been either; designed, built or have left the ground during the '14-'18 period and be identifiable by the poster.
•The photo must show the whole aircraft - from whatever angle, or at least 2 views of a 3 view drawing (photo by preference).
•Challenges which depict a machine already earlier presented are disqualified
(always check the list at earlyaviator.com/br.challenge when in doubt !)
•If there is any doubt as to the eligibility of an aircraft for the challenge details should be PM'd to Breguet BEFORE the aircraft is submitted.
•Once someone has got 5 correct answers under their belt they become an ACE. Once they become an ACE they must wait 12hrs after the posting of the new challenge before they can post an answer.
•To be eligible for correct ID an answer must include at least one characteristic of the aircraft that helped in its identification.
•The first person to ID the challenge correctly gets to post the next challenge. If this can not be done for any reason Breguet himself will post the next challenge.
•If an ace gives the correct answer too early, the challenge is over, he gets no point but has to post the next one. In lieu of the fact that the "novices" have in effect been "cheated" of their "exclusive" time that next post should be a relatively easy one. Anyone repeating the correct answer at the right time gets neither a point nor the right to post the next challenge.
•The final arbitor in relation to questions about the rules will be Breguet.

No takers not even Kees, that’s a bad sign. I’ll throw out a guess, just for starters, though given Rbailey’s passion for the very obscure from very odd places, I think I am probably too ordinary.

I will go with the Oertz Taube, whether the 1913 or 1914 I certainly can’t tell.

Hi Dave!
Wing trailing edge is too stright for a 'Taube'. It looks as a conventional braced monoplane without any other kind of wing supporting structure.

It's something like a Blériot XI/Morane mixt

Could be a Castaibert 913 or 914 . from Argentina .

I already posted a Castaibert. He did have more than one model, but this isn't one of them. And Yavor is right; no Taube.

Hmmm, I haven´t found anything that matches with this design in the tail, landing gear and tombstone all in one.

Since you left us with nothing than this apparently small picture(I´m not able to detect if there are skids fittetd), I´ll continue the "guessing-round".

Maybe Richard is right and we are back in South America.

How about the monoplane of J. d´Alvear?
It was a Blériot derive an built in 1914 it could have gotten a simplier undercarriage. Also a complete covering was usual this time.

Hello RBailey,
only an idea, photo is really small - but are you sure this plane really still flew in 1914 - seems to have a warp mechanism - Blackburn Monoplane Type D ? Seems this had a single post - or a type I from 1913 ?

This plane flew extensively from 1916 until 1922. I can't remember without checking if it was built in 1915 or 16. The machine and its pilot would seem to have been fairly well known in its home country.

Hi,
i must have checked almost a hundred websites, but nothing. Anyway i found a lot of good ones i did not know before, so

This strange long square rudder along with the diagonal elevators and tail, and warping wings, hmm..
