Joachim, you are right.

Better not to take too much Glühwein before trying to calculate something...

There was not much I could do wrong with Catfish's score.
Unfortunately that makes you wait little longer for your Blue Max.
But lucky us, you can concentrate on the next challenge

MERRY CHRISTMAS

control cables etc.

Hello Jay and Flamingo,

well the screenshot shows what happened to me - (from a simulator), where i was still able to somehow control the plane, though it was not easy to make it back, and land lol.
When asking for the control cable layout of the D.V i got this as an answer:

" .. The DV had control cables for the ailerons going out through the top wing whereas the DVa had them back in the lower wing (as per the DIII). Not sure whether this is modeled or not so could be coincidence. .."
(Yes it's modeled in the damage moodeling of the sim.)

So the D.III had the control cables for the ailerons laid through the lower wing, the D.V had it in the upper wing, while the D.Va had the cables laid out in the lower wing again. So the D.V is the only one to have those shrouds Flamingo spoke about. And so the bird in the picture in the Bréguet crash file is most probably not a D.V - could only be a D.Va because of the "re-laid" lower control cables going up near the struts - or a D.III. Or an OAW D.III. Or an Oeffag D.III - or an Oeffag D.II ? OMG

Greetings,
Catfish

If you break your lower wing in a D.Va. or a D.III you will need a lot of luck to get into a horizontal position again, and land ...

you gave 1.2 total for this one?
1.2 is better than 1.1!

Thank you for the nice fotograf.

Isn't that an Albatros D.Va? Yes, I see the triangular aileron actuator shroud.
It looks like it has the added support strut on the lower wing forward of the front "V" strut. Also the lack of the two cables to actuate the aileron which were featured on both the D.III and the D.V that I reviewed earlier.

I'm not sick, but I'm not well!
How come every time I see a nicely marked Fighting Machine I want to build and paint one just like it?:huh : : )

I remember calling people as well as my pets "Schnucki", I never knew what it meant, but used it as a term of endearment! What a coincidence!

MERRY CHRISTMAS, FOKKERJ

P.S. "O.K., It's a D.V with a D.Va strut strengthener modification, I read Catfish's answer to me, Thank you Catfish"

AROTH, Where were you?

We waited very patiently for you, but had to play without you!

You can go back to sleep now.
