Fokker DVII Looking for a Home

Hello everyone,
I recently purchased a Fokker DVII kit from airdromeairplanes for my father as a gift as he recently had heart surgery. One of his biggest passions has always been WWI aviation (he and I made models of all sorts of planes when I was young) so it seemed natural that now that I had the means to get him what I would consider the biggest model aeroplane just like the ones we made when I was a kid. Unfortunately his health is not where it needs to be in order to work on such a project and now I'm looking for someone who would perhaps be interested in purchasing the kit from me. The kit right now is in southern California, and any advice you all may have as to how to sell it, or if anyone here has been considering getting a kit this may be your opportunity to do just that. I just really didn't want to put it on ebay as I think the community here may be more appreciative of such an item. Please feel free to ask me any questions, and thank you all in advance.

Is it a complete kit? How much are you asking for it and where are you in southern California.

I think you should put it on ebay. The word will get around.

it is a complete kit, I'll send you a personal message with further details. The kit is in Pasadena California.

Also thanks for the ebay comment (it lets me know that isn't too horrible an idea). Though I figured I'd give all you guys first dibs as I guess this would be a good userbase who would be interested.

The problem is how much for freight? You might provide the size & weight of the package.

Here is the crate info:

it's 12.5 feet long by 2.5 feet square and weighs 350lbs

The company that shipped it to my father was YRC Freight, they were very helpful. Please send me an email if you're interested or feel free to bump this thread if you've any questions. I will probably ebay the kit next week if no one here is interested =(

How much are you asking for the kit? Is it only one crate?

I'm interested, but I need to evaluate the freight cost, considering I'm actually living in Argentina (South America).

Regards,

Osval

Price and kit info request

Eli,

Could you please send me the price and kit info by direct email. I'm in northern California so would probably just drive down and pick it up if I bought it.

Thanks,
Darrel
