Well, what do you think guys?

glenn,
sorry to throw a wet blanket on your project, but unless you've gained the copyright releases from the profiles artist, mikhail bykov, mentioning that you'd like to credit him and pasting the little surrender smilie doesn't excuse you from copying and pasting his artworks on the internet publicly without his permission. does he also know that you've modified his artworks and re-posted them as well?
if you've secured his blessings to do so, then you're okay. if you haven't, you should remove them and go back and gain his copyright and altering permissions from him before re-posting his artworks or using them in the library display as your own work.
please read a similar discussion, here: Another Reason We Artists Are Starving
i do like your your modeling handywork, however.

Hello AAC Cadet Leader:
First my apologies to you. It was never my intention to claim these artworks were my own or to use them in the library as my own. In fact, they will never be put on public display here at the library and that was never my intention.
When I saw these works I went out of my way to find out who the artist was and gain permission to use them for my personal research. The copywright holder is the company Avia-Hobby and I explained my project and did receive permission to use these for my personal research into this project from that company. I know that meant that I would not use them to gain profit from these works which is something I never even thought about doing. I only posted them on the Aerodrome because it was the only way I had to demonstrate the color schemes I wanted to represent in forum discussions and get feedback on how correct or incorrect the interpretations were from the experts here on the forum. I did discuss this with a number of other members of the forum the get their opinions before doing this as I did not want to do anything inappropriate. It was not my intention to ever claim these as my own. I apologize to you and everyone else if it seemed that way.
I have removed them at your request and I hope that I have not made an enemy here as I have tried very hard not to do so.
Glenn

Hey Rocky:
Thanks for the compliments!
The white is just the primer, I just thought it waould make an interesting picture. It will be a red scheme, but since I am using acrylic paint, I went with a white primer instead of grey.
I was planning on preshading with a dark maroon or like color. Would that be too dark? I have never tried this method before, so I am kind of experimenting and any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Glenn

Richthofen project on standby!
Hello Everyone:
I must apologize for not posting in a while but work events have kept me away as well as diverting my modeling time on the Richthofen project.
In October, not long after my last post, the library I work at was planning programs for the coming months and I made the suggestion of doing somthing on the Tuskegee Airmen for Black History Month this coming February. Well, to make a long story short, I am now building eight models representing the Tuskegee Airmen and we even have actual original Members of the 332nd FG coming on February 20th to give a presentation! The US Air Force Museum is even helping with research! This thing has taken on a life of its own and I'm running around like my head is on fire!!!
Once the Tuskegee project is done, I'll be able to get back to Richthofen's aircraft and will be able to post some more pictures of a painted 1/32 425/17.
Thanks for all of the support guys! I'll post again soon!
Glenn

Glenn,
Congratulations on your opportunity to enrich your library's patron's understanding of our nation's history. I hope it goes well.
