How can I get my hands on a 150 HP Gnome Rotary 9N?

Does anyone know how to locate a 150 HP Gnome Rotary engine for sale? If not, does anyone know if there are plans available to build a reproduction? Thanks.

If you have enough money and can find one, its likely for sale. Rotarys occasionally pass through ebay, but most of the ones I've seen have been Le Rhones.

You start by asking aircraft museums if they've been offered one, or have one they'd consider deaccesioning for the right price.

I doubt there are plans for it, as far as I know the only reproduction rotary is the Oberusel built by The Vintage Aviator Ltd. (funded by Peter Jackson). I'd imagine that was a very expensive project.

Unfortunately, I don't. However, I do live relatively close to the Old Kingsbury Aerodrome.

Snoopy,

Forget about getting a Gnome from Roger (Kingsbury), although I do believe he has one (probably more). He doesn't sell what he has. He only trades for something he doesn't and the museum can add to the collection.
