Film of Camels in 1918
Check out his other videos also, 1 1/2 Strutter, FE-2b, etc. Notice in the Strutter video how before starting the engine they choke it by spinning the prop with the switch off and with a mechanic holding his hand over the intake pipe. - Last edited by baldeagle; 31 October 2009 at 05:51 PM. |

That's great stuff! I love seeing the whole flight being walked out for their take-offs with one ground crew member on each side. It also looked like the Camels practically shot off the grass after going to full power.
